    Udenna Agumadu

    Nursing Home Transition Program Coordinator

    Udenna is Nigerian, coming to Colorado from Austin, Texas. She has been in healthcare for 20 years. She has worked with individuals who are sick, elderly, and individuals with psychological and physical disabilities in various settings. Udenna joined CPWD in 2024. She is currently working towards completing her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration.

    Bilingual Independent Living Advisor

    Ana lives with a passion in her belly to be of service on planet Earth. With extensive experience in community impact and collaborating with underserved consumers and BIPOC individuals with disabilities and across intersectionalities, she’s thrilled to be part of the CPWD team since March 2024.

  • Jay-Ballard

    Jay Ballard

    Youth Independent Living Advisor

    Originally from Las Vegas, Jay moved to Denver in 2021, gaining experience with Denver Public Schools’ Transitions Program before joining CPWD. He is the head coach of a competitive soccer club and KIPP Denver Collegiate High School’s boys' soccer program. A passionate animal lover and arts enthusiast, he enjoys spending his free time on the field or exploring new cuisine.

  • Mary Baughman

    Mary Baughman

    Nursing Home Transitions Program Manager

    Mary joined CPWD in June of 2022 as the Nursing Home Transitions Manager. She holds her Masters in Public Health Education from Ithaca College in Upstate NY, where she is originally from. Mary has 4 years of previous experience working with non-profits in Boulder County and is passionate about empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

    Veterans Independence Program Supervisor

    Heidi, a veteran’s wife and mother of four, has dedicated her career to supporting people with disabilities. Before joining CPWD, she lived in China, helping individuals recognize their worth in the community. Passionate about advocacy, she is honored to assist veterans in maintaining their independence and is excited to be part of the CPWD team.

    Dawn Brady

    Beyond Vision Skills Trainer

    Dawn loves sharing her knowledge and skills to encourage and help others. Dawns’ work at CPWD began in 2018 as a volunteer. Dawn has worked for Guide Dogs for the Blind and continues to provide awareness to the community when she and Feebie, her guide dog, are out and about in the Longmont Community.

    Margaret Catterall

    Director of Operations

    Margaret joined CPWD in 2012 after moving to Colorado from Michigan where she worked in administration and accounting. She has two children and enjoys the Colorado outdoors.

  • Kai-Chun

    Kai Chun

    Social Security Non-Attorney Representative

    Kai moved to Colorado from Florida, where he recently earned two degrees from Florida State University. He enjoys camping, snowboarding, and enjoying the outdoors. He has experience working with the SSI / SSDI application process, and is excited to use that experience to best aid the local disabled community. 

  • Estefania-Corral

    Estefania Corral

    Co-Director of Services

    Estefania, a first-generation Mexican-American, grew up in an agricultural community in California and pursued higher education before moving to Boulder in 2016. She began advocating for underserved communities and joined CPWD in 2017 as a volunteer, later becoming Bilingual Beyond Vision Program Manager. In 2024, she was promoted to Co-Director of Services, where she continues driving change through leadership and advocacy.

  • Jan Dabrowski

    Jan Dabrowski

    Employment Coordinator

    Jan joined CPWD in 2013 as an Employment Specialist, using her sign language skills to assist Deaf individuals in finding jobs. Certified as a Community Partner Work Incentive Counselor in 2016, she launched CPWD’s Ticket to Work program, helping individuals navigate employment while on disability benefits. Jan finds joy in supporting others toward independence and was honored with APSE’s Excellence in Benefits Counseling Award in 2023. A Colorado native, she enjoys the outdoors in her free time.

  • Alexia-Diaz

    Alexia Diaz

    Beyond Vision Program Manager

    Alexia joined CPWD as a Beyond Vision Skills trainer in 2022. She has contributed to the low vision community by providing peer group facilitation, assistive technology training, independent living training, and community building opportunities for the low vision community. Alexia was promoted to Beyond Vision Program Manager in February 2025 and continues to support consumers through training and program development to provide opportunities to overcome barriers to independent living.

  • Carol-Elmore

    Carol Elmore

    Staff Accountant

    Carol earned an Applied Science degree in Accounting mid-life to support her family and has since worked with various nonprofits. Alongside her role at CPWD, she manages accounting for the Town of Ward Water Commission and runs her jewelry business, SilvertreeJewelry.com, blending her passion for finance and creativity.

    Director of Strategic Growth

    Holly has a wealth of experience assisting people with disabilities in achieving independence. Prior to joining CPWD in 2019, she worked for more than 20 years managing an employment program that  assisted people with disabilities increase their job skills, employment readiness training, job development and placement support,  and long term supports for those employed.

    Nate George

    Facilities & Safety Coordinator

    Nate George (He/Him) grew up in the Appalachian mountains and Kansas before settling in Colorado in 2007. With a career in the nonprofit sector, he advocates for the intersection of disability and LGBTQ+ communities. Passionate about social justice, he works to improve access and support for marginalized groups. An avid animal lover, he shares his home with his husband and a menagerie of pets. Nate’s compassion and dedication shine through in both his personal and professional life.

  • Bonny Godoy

    Bonny Godoy

    Human Resources Coordinator

    Bonny has over 15 years of Human Resources experience mostly in the healthcare industry and some non-profits. She was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. She moved to Boulder with her daughter in 2016. Growing up in Miami in a community full of exiled Cubans (and many others) she acknowledged the importance of support, social justice and inclusivity. She's passionate about everyone having a fair chance.

    Teresa Greene

    Youth Independent Living Advisor

    Teresa Greene holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development with a focus on Special Education and Youth Mental Health. She has more than 15 years of professional and personal experience working with people with a range of disabilities. Teresa joined CPWD in 2019. She has a compassionate heart and is always willing to help out.

    Administrative Assistant

    Tru is a junior at CU Boulder pursuing a bachelors in Clinical Psychology with a minor in ASL. She is very passionate about advocating for people with disabilities, and doing anything she can to make the world a better place. She is also interested in fashion as a creative outlets.

    Diane Jessee

    Billing Specialist

    Diane started working for CPWD in March of 2016 as the Accounting and Administrative Assistant. Prior, she was a bookkeeper at an assisted living home. She also worked in a manufacturing company as an office manager, overseeing finances and human resources.

    Jamie Lee

    Beyond Vision Skills Trainer

    Jamie joined CPWD in 2022. She is a native of Colorado who has been a full-time caregiver for multiple family members for the last 20 years. She has a passion for support groups, because she found that the most helpful tips for coping with a disability came from other people living through similar, but different, issues.

    Brandy McIntosh

    Co-Director of Services

    Brandy holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Mississippi State University. She worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for four years for Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services before joining CPWD in 2019. Passionate about advocacy, she supports empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently.

    Darcy McLean

    Beyond Vision Skills Trainer

    Darcy McLean has been a Low Vision Skills Educator and Support Group Facilitator in the Beyond Vision Program since 2015. Living with low vision herself, she holds a degree in Human Services Counseling and has over 20 years of experience. An avid kayaker, hiker, and gardener, she is deeply connected to those with vision loss and their caregivers.

    Christa joined CPWD in 2024 as an Independent Living Advisor after navigating the system herself. Gaining independence gave her strength and confidence, and she now empowers others to do the same. Passionate about connection, she is dedicated to supporting consumers in achieving their independent living goals.

    Dylan joined CPWD in 2024. After serving in the Navy, he spent 7 years in healthcare and has a passion for helping people and working with veterans.

    Danielle Mowery

    Certified Benefits Specialist

    Danielle moved to Colorado from Kansas where she was a Benefits Specialist for the State of Kansas Medicaid buy in program, Working Healthy.  She joined CPWD in 2024. She has a daughter with Down Syndrome and has been working with people with disabilities for over 20 years. Her passion is to help people be as independent as possible, and confidently find employment without the fear of losing important benefits. Her hobbies are camping, fishing and being outside in nature.

    Born and raised in northern Colorado, Zoe has a passion for helping the community around her and she is excited to use her background in communications and health services in her new role here with CPWD. Her free time is spent creating all things artsy, including makeup, painting, jewelry, and dance.

    Career Coach

    Caitlyn enjoys assisting others in finding meaningful employment. She has 10 years of experience working with people with disabilities and  serving the community. Caitlyn has a dog named Zoe, and loves being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

    Mark Reeves

    Veterans Independence Program Advisor

    Since 2007, Mark has dedicated himself to working with individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings and joined the Veterans Independence Program in 2023. In addition to his professional commitments with CPWD, Mark excels as a visual artist, practices and teaches yoga and meditation, and passionately spends time with his canine companions.

    Veterans Independence Program Advisor

    Having worked with people with disabilities for more than 30 years, 23 of them here on the Front Range, Ben joined CPWD in 2021.  Ben is  a lifelong learner with a lot of passions and hobbies including horticulture, mycology, beekeeping, composting and vermicomposting, reading, fishing and hunting, and many more.

    Jude has worked with CPWD since August 2013 in fundraising and communications. His background includes marketing and fundraising for various nonprofit and for-profit pro-social organizations in the community.

    Connie Stafford

    Veterans Independence Program Advisor

    Connie, a U.S. Air Force veteran of Operation Desert Storm, holds a degree in psychology and has a 20-year advocacy career. Before joining CPWD in 2019, she worked as a CASA Program Director and supervised a residence for people with developmental disabilities. She is passionate about helping veterans maintain independence.

  • Marcela-Stambaugh

    Marcela Stambaugh

    Social Security Non-Attorney Representative

    Marcela made Colorado her home in 2001 after moving here from Mexico. She worked as a pharmacy technician for 6 years and then received her Bachelors in Business. She has volunteered for cultural organizations that work to provide a safe environment for kids, teens and young adults through art, music and dance. She joined CPWD in December 2021 and enjoys helping people gain independence.

    Maria Stepanyan

    Executive Director

    Maria Stepanyan has over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, advocating for disability independence and equity since 2010. Before moving to the U.S., she worked with children with disabilities in Russia. A Georgetown Leadership Academy graduate, she holds a degree from Moscow Financial College and speaks Armenian, Russian, and English. Drawing from her global experience in Armenia, Russia, and the U.S., she is passionate about inclusion and empowerment.

    Dave Teed

    Veterans Independence Program Advisor

    Dave, a Navy veteran who served in Bosnia and Desert Storm, joined CPWD in 2024 after moving from New Hampshire with his two boys. After his service, he worked as an elementary teacher, Dean of Students, and Veteran liaison for Hospice. At Easterseals, he managed home health care before becoming an outreach coordinator for Veterans Count, supporting homeless veterans across the state.

    Craig Towler

    Director of Public Policy & Advocacy

    Craig Towler is a dedicated disability rights advocate focused on dismantling barriers and driving policy change. He collaborates with community partners and serves on advisory committees, including the Governor’s Task Force on Civil Rights for Coloradans with Disabilities, to advance equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
