Ticket To Work
People worry that if they get a job, they will lose their income or medical benefits. That’s why we have Benefits Counselors on staff to assist individuals in making a financially sound plan from living off benefits to earning a living.

Ticket to Work has specific requirements:
1. You must be receiving Social Security benefits (SSI/ SSDI/ or both)
2. You must be between the ages of 18- and 64 years old
3. You must not be currently working with another Employment Network or DVR
4. You must have a goal of working and reducing dependency on benefits
5. You must want to eventually work above the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) level (click here for current SGA amounts).
6. You must be willing to work with CPWD staff toward your employment goals
If you think the TTW program is for you, please fill out this form, and an Employment Specialist will get back to you.
Benefits Counseling
Watch this video to learn about seeking employment and keeping your benefits
CPWD offers Benefits Counseling as a service provider for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and is available for people receiving services through DVR or on a Medicaid Waiver.
Benefits Counseling can help you navigate the complex balance between earning income and receiving benefits. Our staff are Community Partner Work Incentives Counselors (CPWICs), who have been expertly trained to understand the laws, requirements, and processes. They can assist you in finding the best path to sustainable income and independence without losing your benefits or security in the process.
If you need help with benefits counseling only, contact benefits@cpwd.org and we will get you connected with a Benefits Counselor.
Career Coaching
CPWD employs a Career Coach who can assist adults seeking employment, or needing help with employment-related issues, such as accommodations, transportation, supervisor communications, and so forth.
Our Career Coach primarily serves individuals with disabilities in Boulder County. To find out more or make an appointment, please email: Info@cpwd.org, and let us know your Career Coaching needs.
