Medicaid Tips

Three Simple Ways to Keep
Medicaid Benefits Ongoing

Medicaid is the key to getting the services you or those in your care need. Medicaid eligibility must be renewed every year. The most common challenge people face is loss of eligibility due to forgetting to renew. Following are a few tips that may help:

1Complete your Medicaid redetermination on time every year to avoid delay in services.
2Don’t get stressed about odd notices – Medicaid sends out a form letter 30 days before the end date of your year saying your Medicaid coverage will end. At this time, either renew your paperwork or connect with a CPWD Independent Living Advisor to help you complete the renewal on time.
3Make sure you have the correct Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver for your Medicaid. CPWD works with the following waivers:
  • Brain Injury
  • Elderly Blind/Disabled
  • Community Mental Health Services
If you need assistance or support completing any of these forms, or have questions regarding waivers and getting services at CPWD, please call us at (303) 442-8662 or fill out our online form and we will be happy to help you.
